PENTACAM/PAKIMETRY/TOPOGRAPHY

This tomography equipment enables the reproduction and three-dimensional construction of the cornea and the entire anterior chamber.

It allows a global study of the anterior and posterior surfaces of the cornea, with evaluation of topography, keratometry, astigmatism, aberrametry measurements, staging and characterization of keratoconus. It also allows us to determine the pachymetry (corneal thickness) at the centre, and along the entire length of the cornea.

The pentacam is useful in the diagnosis, staging and evaluation of keratoconus over time, to guide the different forms of therapeutic approach.
