ARGON LASER

This type of laser is used to treat various retinal and vitreous pathologies such as diabetic retinopathy, central serous chorioretinopathies, dystrophies or retinal tears. The treatment cannot improve the patient’s vision, but if done in a timely manner, it can prevent the complete loss of vision that can occur with these diseases.

This is usually a lengthy procedure that has to be spread over multiple sessions. Argon laser is applied with topical anesthesia, and patients can return to their normal activities on the same day.
